CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR CONSULTANCY TO SUPPORT REVIEW OF KECOSCE’s STRATEGIC PLAN 2020-2024

1.0 Background
Kenya Community Support Centre (KECOSCE) is a Kenyan National NGO active in the Coast, Northern Kenya and Nairobi regions of Kenya. KECOSCE vision is a just, secure and progressive society. This is achieved through our strategic pillars including strengthening Democracy, Good governance and Human Rights, Supporting Sustainable Environment and Natural Resources Management, promoting Peace, Security and Inclusive Societies, enhancing Gender Equality and Empowerment of women and strengthening organizational sustainability.
2.0 About the Project
KECOSCE has received a grant from the AMKENI WAKENYA/UNDP and with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands to implement a project titled “Strengthening Civic Society Voices in Policy-Making through the Promotion of Inclusive Platforms for Public Participation in Kilifi County- Kenya. As part of our project implementation work, KECOSCE is revising its current strategic plan 2020 -2024 to align with the changing environment and make the organisation stronger and able to respond to its operating environment and context.
3.0. Objective of the Assignment
KECOSCE has a current Strategic Plan which outlines program objectives that should be relevant, ambitious but achievable for the period of five years in order to address the most significant issues identified in the situational analysis. So the consultant will conduct a Mid Term Review of the strategy to see progress to date, outline lessons learnt to date, and see if the current strategy is relevant and/or needs modifying.
Scope of Work: This call is for performance of the following tasks.
- Review of the current state, and update of the Strategic Plan (Mid Term Review);
- Development of a Diagnosis/Recommendation report outlining options to operationalize the program delivery of KECOSCE’s strategic objectives in the future.
- Deliverables: A mid-term review report that reveals the progress made against the intended strategic objectives, program outcomes, and the factors of success and failures;
- An updated plan that incorporates gender transformative and inclusion approaches, and is aligned to the global SDGs, and relevant for the Kenyan context;
- Co-facilitation of a Workshop to ensure contribution from board, staff and partners is incorporated;
- Development of a Diagnosis Recommendation report outlining options on how to operationalize delivery of programs in the future that are relevant our context.
- Develop a monitoring and evaluation of results framework
4.0 Methodology
The consultant is required to choose and use suitable methodology which must be outlined in the technical proposal.
5.0 Duration
The services above are to be carried out over a period of approximately 15 working days.
6.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION
