ENTRENCHING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN COUNTY MANAGEMENT
In line with the provisions of Article 10(2)(a), 96, Article 232(1)(d), of the Constitution, KECOSCE in partnership with USAID/PACTWORLD and Mensen Met Een Missie is implementing this project in Tana River and Mombasa Counties. The purpose of the project is to empower citizens to be able to constructively participate in the management of county affairs and engage with the county assembly and the Governor with the aim of improving services delivery to the communities. This project will entails, Strengthening civil society movement in the county, awareness creation amongst the communities especially youth women and the people with disabilities on devolution, facilitating participation of the community in devolution and in management affairs of the county through use of social accountability mechanisms and building of partnership, collaboration and coordination with the county assembly, the governor and the executive to support and institutionalize citizen participation.
